There are lots of artworks on Mason’s Fairfax campus ranging from paintings, sculptures, and other media. You can find them in many places, including outside, in the School of Arts Building, the Center for the Performing Arts, and the Johnson Center —but there are more! Your assignment is to identify one specific piece of art and describe it to me in sufficient detail so that I can actually locate it and view it myself; note that although a picture is worth a thousand words, I do expect a verbal description even if you include a picture. Then, using the material that we talked about this semester, support your opinion as to whether this piece of art is creative or not.

Remember – this assignment should be done on your own. You are free to use the articles and readings that we used in class, but you are not free to use your fellow students or other people you know including faculty, family members, friends, and acquaintances. The exam should be double-spaced and adhere to APA format (including both in-text citations and the reference section). Please send us either a WORD or a PDF file.
