We had multiple whitetail does out in front of us, but that’s not what we were in search of. We were looking for who we called “big hank” a mature 8 point buck that frequented our hunting grounds. Big hank made his presence known a few hours later when he came strolling up to where we were hunting. I steadied my sights on big hank and slowly squeezed the trigger, BANG!!! The gun goes off and hank is still standing there, it would take me until my third shot before I was able to take down big hank. I was twelve years old at the time.
