Supervision . . . demonstrates an ongoing professional commitment to reflection, analysis, and critique by professional practitioners who take individual responsibility to use supervision to renew and refresh their practice and ensure that they continue to work within the mandate for their work with other people (Davys & Beddoe, 2010, p.19).

When writing a vision for supervision, you identify the overarching components that will guide your professional commitment to supervision and aligns to your supervision philosophy and goals. Then, you create a “vision for supervision” by writing those components down clearly and concisely, using future-oriented, inspiring language.

For this Assignment, you will write a 1-page summary of your vision for supervision. The visioning resources in this this week’s Learning Resources contain a variety of supervision categories that may help guide you as you identify key components you wish to include in your vision for supervision.
